Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Los Angeles has its Hollywood Walk of Fame, miles of sun-drenched beaches, a top-notch dining scene and plenty of other attractions, but no trip would feel totally complete without a proper celebrity sighting or two. Increase your chances of mingling with TV and film’s biggest personalities when you park yourself at the bar or book a room at one of these stylish hotels.

Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Marilyn Monroe once called this 1927 Spanish-style hotel home, and her ghost supposedly still haunts the place. After top designer Dodd Mitchell spearheaded a major 2005 renovation, the glamorous 12-story property became a regular hangout for living, breathing celebrities. Jay-Z, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake have been peeped in the lobby, the poolside Tropicana Bar or in Teddy’s, the hotel’s nightclub.

Sunset Tower Hotel

Relive Hollywood’s golden age at this 1929 property that once served as a residence for silver-screen darlings such as Errol Flynn, Liz Taylor and Frank Sinatra.  After the once run-down Art Deco gem underwent a dramatic renovation in 2005, and it’s been a modern-day A-list destination ever since. The hotel is reportedly a fave among celebrities like Johnny Depp, Madonna and James Franco. The hotel’s Tower Bar and Terrace restaurant also enjoy reputations as celebrity hangouts.

The Redbury

This 57-room bohemian-chic Hollywood hotel attracts a mix of high-profile celebs, from Kanye West and David Beckham to Scarlet Johansson and Hayden Panettiere. It’s no wonder, really: The property was designed by photographer Matthew Rolston and features homey, apartment-style suites equipped with kitchens and record players.

The Beverly Hilton

The Beverly Hilton has been the official hotel of the Grammys since it hosted the first ceremony in 1959. The Beverly Hills property continues to host the Pre-Grammy Gala, the Oscar’s nominee’s luncheon and the Golden Globes. All this entertainment industry back-patting means that you have a good chance of glimpsing star attendees. Recent sightings include Taylor Swift, Tom Hanks, Lady Gaga and Matt Damon.
