Ever dream of spending the night in a retro Airstream? These days, you don’t have to worry about hitching it up, paying high gas fees and finding a place to park it; instead, you can pay per night to stay in a stationary trailer at one of these hip hotels. And these are not your rickety old camper vans: Most of the Airstreams are decked out with modern décor, plush amenities and high-tech features!

The Caravan Outpost Airstream-only resort east of Santa Barbara positions 11 Airstreams in a circle with a common area in the middle that includes a farm table outdoor dining area and fire pit. Each Airstream has a name (like Sam or Ruby) and includes a semi-private outdoor sitting area. The resort does not have dining on property, but you can hop on one of the free bikes and head to the nearby market to buy fixings to whip up your own meals right in the Airstream kitchen.
