Day 1: Morning
The best way to start your first day is by waking up in the city of Negril, which puts you within reach of c a wide variety of features that you can explore quickly. Not only will you find soft sands and a refreshing swim, but you can also get your adrenaline pumping by jumping off the cliffs at Ricks into the waters below.
Day 1: Afternoon
As the afternoon hits, you can rent a car in Negril and drive about an hour out to Mayfield Falls. During the drive, you can spot picturesque papaya trees and plantations showcasing the natural beauty of this island nation. The falls themselves are a bit smaller than more popular alternatives like Dunn's River Falls, but that means you won't encounter as many people. Additionally, there are over 20 pools under the falls where you can go for a dip.
Day 1: Evening
After your trip to the falls, it's time to head back to Negril. This town is known for its nightlife, so be sure to check out the local bars and clubs. Notably quieter than Seven Mile Beach, this destination offers an atmosphere of tranquility that lets you enjoy the sea air and soft sand. An open-air restaurant at the beach allows you to indulge in grilled lobster and other delicious eats. You may even want to check out a boat tour that will take you to a small island where you can go snorkeling.
Day 2: Afternoon
With the arrival of afternoon, it's the perfect time for a canopy tour. The Jamaican jungle is certainly impressive, and you can enjoy its treetops through a series of ziplines in the area. In total, the tour lasts about 2 hours, so it's a great way to fill an afternoon when the sun's at its brightest. With the time you have left, get in your rental car and head to Blue Hole Mineral Spring. Just 25 minutes from Negril, this spring offers cool waters that evidently have some therapeutic qualities.
Day 2: Evening
Once you head back to Negril as the sun sets, you'll have one last night to enjoy the nightlife. If that night happens to be a Sunday, make sure you check out the weekly party on Norman Manley Boulevard. No matter what day it is, you can enjoy 24/7 local food at Mi Yard including roast tuna, roast breadfruit, and plantains. There isn't a dress code, so you won't need anything more than your bathing suit.
